Apple set to launch latest iPhone 8 on 12th September

Apple has sent out invitations to an event on 12th September,  which many believe will be the announcement of the launch of their new iPhone 8.

Apple’s annual September event will be held at its recently-opened Apple Campus headquarters in California for the first time.

Along side the iPhone, Apple is also expected to reveal other new devices including new entries in their Apple Watch and Apple TV line, and information about their anticipated HomePod speaker.

The iPhone 8 is expected to feature an brand new design, a upgraded camera and with facial recognition technology. Apple is also likely to unveil upgraded “7s” versions of its existing iPhone, and a new Apple Watch that can utilise mobile networks.

The event will be held at 6pm UK time in the Steve Jobs Theater, a specially-built auditorium for Apple events in the grounds of its new headquarters.

If Apple follows its traditional pattern, the new phones will go on sale on the Friday of the following week, 22nd September.
