A very successful evening for Pocket App at the Digital Impact Awards

Digital Impact

After almost 2 years of virtual events, Zoom calls and work from home, there is no better feeling than attending an award ceremony with your clients and partners. The team was all dressed up and headed to the Park Plaza Riverbank in London on November 25 to attend the Digital Impact Awards ceremony with our friends from WWF-UK and Rufus Leonard.

Our joint work on the My Footprint app scooped the award in the two categories it was competing in: Best use of mobile and/or corporate app and Best use of digital by a charity, NGO or NFP.

The Digital Impact Awards honour the best corporate digital communications work in Europe since 2010.

My Footprint is a challenge-based app aiming to engage the nation through tangible action and social sharing. It offers a variety of challenges across different topics and effort levels, all geared to gamifying the creation of new habits that are practical for all the family. The content is underpinned by storytelling and relevant articles that shows the impact WWF is having and the part users are playing. Social sharing is encouraged to help amplify the message and galvanise a movement. With more than 80k downloads and 110k challenges completed to date, the app is achieving its goals and building momentum to bend the 2030 climate curve.

Darragh Field, Director of Digital and Content at WWF-UK said “We have been amazed with Pocket App’s ability to deliver a robust app in such a short time. The team accommodated for our feedback throughout the process, to create a product that exceeded our expectations”.
