In order to fulfill the necessity of fitting new masks, employees can utilise the app for completing a fit test form, which encompasses essential information such as mask type, style, tester, and size. Subsequently, these details are forwarded for evaluation and approval. The management of mask-related data is conducted within a designated content management system, facilitating administrators to update mask information as required.

Our process

Given the straightforward nature of the functionality, we capitalised on the opportunity to refine the user experience and introduce a sleek user interface in accordance with the NHS guidelines. In addressing the need for updating mask information, Pocket App opted for Backpack for Laravel, an admin portal offering customisable functionalities. Leveraging React Native for its adaptability, the application was crafted to deploy seamlessly across both iOS and Android platforms using a unified codebase.

The results

The application is planned for launch later this year and will be exclusively deployed for internal use. Initial trials will be conducted across a select few trusts to establish a user base and solicit feedback on the platform, which will inform the planning of features and functionalities for subsequent releases. Pocket App remains committed to collaborating with Imperial Healthcare to enhance the platform continually and uphold the codebase to ensure optimal performance.

The Waiting Game

The Waiting Game endeavoured to create a flexible and easy to use mobile application. Their main objectives for the application was to advertise any upcoming events, to monitor staff shifts and work patterns, and to automatically update staff’s payroll and any other relevant paperwork via the system.
